Alfa Laval has signed an agreement to acquire Scanjet, a world provider of tank cleansing equipment and options for marine, offshore and industrial applications.

Scanjet’s intelligent tank management solutions cut back the water utilization and energy consumption related with tank cleaning. The firm employs round 150 people, has factories in Sweden, Poland and Indonesia, and has an annual turnover of about SEK300 million.
“Scanjet’s well-known and market-leading options for cargo tanks complement our current Framo cargo pumping options for cargo dealing with. This provides us the power to optimize tank management for our customers with an ambition to scale back their water and gasoline consumption and finally their CO2 footprint,” says Sameer Kalra, president of Alfa Laval’s Marine Division.
